Essential Maintenance Works; A1(M) Southbound Jnc 44 (Bramham Interchange) and Jnc 43 (Hook Moor)
Balfour Beatty Construction Services UK, on behalf of Connect M1-A1 Limited, will be carrying out essential maintenance works on the southbound carriageway of the A1(M) motorway. The works are planned to commence on 06 July 2015 and will be undertaken over sixty (60) weekday nights.
The works will involve the replacement of sections of worn out road across lanes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the A1(M) southbound carriageway.
The works will start at 21:00 each night and will be finished by 06:00 the following morning. The overnight works will normally be carried out from Monday night to Saturday morning. We are not intending to carry out overnight works on Saturday/Sunday or Sunday/Monday as part of our normal working operations. However, in exceptional circumstances we may need to utilise overnight working at weekends.
The temporary traffic management required to ensure the safety of the work force and members of the public requires the works to be carried out in full overnight closures of the A1(M) Southbound carriageway from Junction 45 to Junction 44.
The road closures will be supported by a fully signed diversion route that runs between Junction 45 and Junction 44 of the A1(M) via the Woods Road, Thorner Road and Paradise Way. The works are planned for sixty (60) nights but the diversion route described will only be in place for the first six nights of the works.
Whilst we expect any impact to be minimal we apologise for any inconvenience that this essential maintenance work may cause.
