On 15th September 2012, the fifth Bramham Beer Festival (or Festiv-ale, as it’s become known) was held at the Village Hall.
This growing, annual event is organised by the Village Hall Management Committee as a way of raising funds to continue the restoration of this village landmark.
This year’s festival included 20 ales, all from Yorkshire breweries. The most popular beers on the day were Artisan’s Choice and Journeyman Bitter, both from the recently established Collingham Brewery, just a few miles down the road. They were so popular that both beers had sold out before the early evening.
A couple of Welsh ciders were also on the pump; including Happy Daze, which certainly lived up to it’s name.
Musical entertainment was provided throughout the day, and hot food was on offer in the Supper Room.
It was great to see so many people from the village pulling together to make the event a success, whether they were volunteering behind the bar, or helping to keep the bar propped up.
If you would be interested in getting involved in next year’s event then please contact the Committee.
